Dr. Dalenberg is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in active clinical practice at AdventHealth in Ottawa, Kansas. He offers adult reconstructive orthopedics (degenerative cervical & lumbar spine, plus surgical treatment of shoulder, hip & knee arthritis), chronic musculoskeletal pain management, general orthopedics, and medico-legal consulting.
In addition to being a fellowship-trained orthopedic spinal surgeon in practice since 1994, Dr. Dalenberg has extensive deposition and trial experience as an orthopedic expert witness. As an expert witness, his mission is to bring science to the courtroom by doing a thorough, unbiased evaluation of every case from both the defense and plaintiff’s points of view, and to provide the science to back up his opinions. He adheres to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Standards of Professionalism on Orthopaedic Expert Opinion and Testimony, and has signed an AAOS Expert Witness Affirmation Statement.

Dr. Dale Dalenberg is a physician employee at AdventHealth Ottawa, member of the American College of Legal Medicine, a member of The North American Spine Society (NASS), and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
Outside of the orthopaedic world, Dr. Dalenberg also maintains a website devoted to the preservation of “antique popular literature,” including vintage paperbacks, science fiction, mystery, comics, poetry, dime novels, and more. Exploring music, history, film, art & art criticism, and (occasionally) grousing about current issues & events.
